Steve Banner was born and raised in Adelaide, Australia in a region of the country filled with avid followers of Australian Rules Football. He was first exposed to American College Football while living in Florida in the late 90s, but it wasn't until he moved to Fort Worth, Texas and married an Omaha native and NU alumna that he started to understand the breadth and depth of the culture that surrounds the Cornhuskers. He now lives among the many Husker fans in the Los Angeles area with his wife and miniature husker hound.
